Their fur regulates body temperature and also protects them sunburn in hot weather. Unfortunately these are not my dogs, but my partner Janice's and she will not listen to that reasoning. To her it makes them easy to clean and easy to check for ticks etc in summer. And a woman is always right, right? I agree – I would never personally cut a dog’s fur so short.
